ABOUT HYTEC

Hytec Dealer Services, Inc. was established in 1981. Since its inception, Hytec has led the market in electronic circuit board repair for many brands of office imaging equipment. With the advent of digital office equipment came the need to secure the digital data stored within the equipment. To support the demand for hard drive data destruction, Hytec initiated its Hytec Drive Secure SM program.

ABOUT HYTEC DRIVE SECURESM

By using Hytec for your data destruction needs, you can rest assured that data has been completely and properly destroyed. Whether you are looking for data destruction or complete drive destruction, Hytec’s process driven procedures adhere to recognized industry standards for data destruction and allow us to certify that all data has been completely destroyed in accordance with DoD 5220.22-M specifications. Upon completion, Hytec will issue a certificate of destruction listing all drives by manufacturer, serial number, and date of destruction. Hytec is a fully bonded and insured service provider who carries a $2M policy in the event client data falls into the wrong hands.

Upon receipt, all items are staged in a locked secure storage area awaiting destruction. During this time, items are handled only by “Access Employees” who have been background checked, drug tested, and are legal U.S. citizens. Our 24/7 video surveillance system records items from point of entry through destruction; this process provides a documented chain of custody while at our facility.

Data destruction (sanitization) is a process that overwrites data stored on a hard drive. Hytec uses state of the art equipment to remove/overwrite this data allowing the drive to be reused without the risk of confidential data getting into the wrong hands. By using this option customers are able to minimize expenses while supporting the green initiative by repurposing previously used drives.

Drive Destruction is the process in which data is removed and the drive is shredded. Hytec uses state of the art equipment to remove the data and an industrial grade shredder that completely destroys the drive rendering all data unreadable. Once shredded, the randomized discharge is collected and recycled in accordance with local and state regulations.
